Trump's Family Member Seeks Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA First Appearance

Emerging athlete getting ready for major competition

This young athlete has considerable online presence

The young golfer will have multiple high-profile supporters when she begins her professional golf debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, received a special exemption to compete at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

The former president, an avid golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and regularly matches against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she revealed.

She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just stay calm."

"My grandpa basically told me to compete and relax," she added.

"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."

While still amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments recently and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

However she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He represents the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He told me to compete, enjoy myself, following the flow."

Kai will face some of most prominent players in professional golf at the competition, such as second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence brings golf to wider groups, specifically among younger fans.

The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle company.

She begins at late afternoon GMT.
