Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
